THREE GAITS’ MISSION AND VISION

Three Gaits exists to provide equine-assisted activities and therapy to enhance the lives of people with physical, emotional, or intellectual disabilities.

Our vision is to create a positive, supportive, resource rich community for our participants, families, and volunteers that nurtures mind, body, and spirit through partnerships with horses and interactions with nature.

 WHO WE ARE

 Three Gaits is a Premier Accredited Center through the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International (PATH Int’l.) We are in Stoughton, WI and provide our programs on a 20-acre farm.  Three Gaits has provided therapeutic riding, horsemanship, and occupational and physical therapy to people of all ages living with a disability for over 43 years.  Through our programs, participants gain measurable strength and confidence, meet occupational, physical and speech therapy goals, and develop life skills that positively impact their lives outside of our barn.  Participants accomplish these goals in a positive environment surrounded by nature, a supportive community and with their equine partner.

Throughout its history, Three Gaits has helped thousands of children and adults throughout Southern Wisconsin with physical, emotional, and intellectual disabilities.  This year, we will provide over 2,000 lessons for people ranging from ages 4 to 92 with a wide range of disabilities.  All are welcomed as they are and encouraged to strive for what is possible.
