The Widow's Pantry is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves the homeless, unemployed, and underemployed. We provide a meal for now and one for later along with blessing bags that can have a hat, gloves, socks, and toiletries. We also provide spiritual encouragement through prayer and information resources. We provide these services in parks and local shelters. We serve 12 months a year and go out at least once a month , We serve every Christmas Day since 2009 providing new coats. We serve a sit down Thanksgiving Meal in November for 100 men in a local shelter. We are very hands on serving God's people with love and dignity,

On April 19, 2022, The Widow's Pantry started it's Life Skills Program working out of a community room in S.E. DC. In August 2023, we partnered with DC Public Library and opened our classes at the Capital View Library in a computer lab offering computer courses, project management, public speak, and soft skill courses. We have resume writers, life coaches, interview specialist and financial advisors that volunteer their time. Each session is 3 months long with a maximum of 11 students that fall under the category of homeless, unemployed and underemployed. Our services are provided to us through Go Skills. Watching lives change for the better is amazing.

We still go out once a month to serve mostly shelters now while the Life Skill Program continues.
