On February 11, 2018, Sara passed away from a fentanyl overdose. Each year almost 50K people die from opioid overdose accounting for 7 out of every 10 overdose deaths Fentanyl OD rates are rising and is the deadliest of all opioids. Just 1 kilogram of fentanyl contains 250,000 lethal doses. However, her death does not define her LIFE. Sara had a kind, playful, accepting and vivacious spirit. She loved her friends and family with her whole heart and made sure they knew it. We aim to show kindness, give to others in need without judgment, and bring awareness to issues in mental health and grief in her honor. Sara K Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 organization dedicated to our mission and serving our community through our “SKF Acts of Kindness.” We support various causes such as homelessness, addiction & recovery, and awareness surrounding issues in mental health & grief.
