The Medford Food Project
About us
The Medford Food Project presents an innovative approach to combating hunger in our community, and we're excited to have your support. Making a difference is simple with our system.
It all revolves around the power of One Green Bag. Since its inception in February 2011, the Medford Food Project (MFP) includes Medford, Central Point, and Jacksonville. Together, we foster a sense of neighbors helping neighbors, where those who have the means contribute to those in need of food. The collected food is distributed to 12 local food pantries.
We take pride in being an all-volunteer organization, and we are fortunate to have 2400 dedicated volunteers like you, working tirelessly to make a positive impact in the lives of others. From our inception through 2022 we have collected over 2 million pounds of food for hungry neighbors. The Mission of the Medford Food Project and its partners is three fold:1. To provide a regular supply of food to hungry neighbors
2. To create new neighborhood connections and strengthen the community
3. To serve as a model for other communities
“Building Community. Sharing Food.”
Together, we can make a meaningful difference!
