The Kerry Gleeson Centre is a newly registered charity based on the Northern Beaches, dedicated to improving mental health and wellbeing through compassionate, accessible and community-driven support.

Founded by esteemed counsellor and advocate Ms Kerry Gleeson, the Centre was created in response to the growing mental health challenges experienced across the Northern Beaches community, including increasing rates of mental health struggles, suicide, trauma, grief, domestic violence and social isolation.

Kerry brings over 15 years of lived and professional experience, including work with Lifeline, Beyond Blue, WayAhead and other support organisations. Through supporting individuals and families over many years, she identified a consistent gap in accessible early support, with many people falling through systems until they reach crisis point.

The Kerry Gleeson Centre was established to help change that.

The Centre provides a welcoming, trauma-informed and holistic approach to mental health and wellbeing support for people of all ages and backgrounds. Its mission is to walk alongside individuals and families before crisis, and through it, ensuring people feel genuinely seen, heard and supported without judgement.

The Centre aims to deliver evidence-based programs, advocacy, education, practical tools and community support initiatives that focus on prevention, connection and early intervention.

A key long-term vision of the charity is to establish a dedicated community drop-in centre where people can access immediate support and care without barriers, stigma or complicated referral pathways. The Centre is also working towards developing outreach programs within schools and other community settings to promote mental wellbeing, resilience and early intervention.

At its heart, The Kerry Gleeson Centre exists to create a safer, more connected community where no one has to struggle alone.
