The I&C Empowerment Zone, Inc. founded by mother and daughter team Imani and Chantal Marley-Husbands; they are focused on several core program initiatives to serve the eastern metropolitan Atlanta area. The Prom Dress Fairy Project provides FREE prom gowns and accessories to disadvantaged young ladies, who would otherwise not be able to attend their prom. We also mentor and counsel them. The “Get Ready” School Supply Bags that arms first graders with the tools needed for a successful year of education. Items include No2 and colored pencils, pens, crayons, markers, composition books, homework folder, scissors, energy bar and a snack. ​Our Life Made Simple/Life 101 is a series of classes and hands on education teaching table etiquette, job search techniques, resume writing, cursive writing and general guidance. We Does Fete Masquerade Band, which has proved to be a crowd favorite, is the performance arts entity. This entertainment group keeps the tradition of the Caribbean Clown alive and well at parades and carnival celebrations on the east coast and the Caribbean islands. Cheryl's Kitchen Table, is a food distribution program that provides nutritious items to families in need, as well as feeding the homeless in downtown Atlanta. The We Love Books Campaign provides books, coloring workbooks and study materials to community Boko Boxes and Book Exchanges around the metro Atlanta area. Our organization also sponsors 2 Free Little Libraries. A pet project of ours is a puzzle lovers dream. We donate puzzles to the Redan-Trotti Library in Lithonia so that those that wish to enjoy a puzzle, can freely check one out and put it together at home, or at the library. There is also a monthly puzzle swap every 3rd Saturday of the month.
