Bandits Buddies Rescue
About us
Bandit’s Buddies Rescue is a registered 501c non-profit organization based in Fresno, CA. BBR was founded in 2009 by Sandy Polly in honor of her beloved Border Collie, Bandit, who she rescued at 3 weeks old in 2002. Sandy has loved animals her entire life, and recognized the need for a “second chance” rescue in the Central Valley, where euthanasia rates are the 3rd highest in the country. BBR takes dogs (many chihuahuas and smaller breeds, with the occasional larger breed) from high kill shelters, who are “eleventh hour” dogs scheduled to be euthanized, usually for space. Many rescues will not even take Chihuahuas because there are so many of them! We are always in need of loving foster homes, volunteers, donations of goods (dog food, newspapers, blankets, monetary donations, etc) and most importantly, forever homes for the “kids”! We are 100% volunteer based, and rely on donations and contributions from our wonderful supporters.
