TEAS is unique in that we aren't a normal rescue/rehome charity.  We take in guinea pigs, with ongoing health issues, who otherwise might need to be put to sleep.  We work closely with an excellent guinea pig savvy vet, so we can access the veterinary treatment, these 'extra special' guinea pigs require.  Primarily we take guinea pigs with ongoing dental disease, although we do take those with other chronic issues too.  

As many of the guinea pigs, in our care, need lifelong veterinary treatment, our vet bills are large, so we need to keep funds coming in!  We also take in guinea pigs from bad situations, or when the owners are unable to cope any longer with them.  We have a neutering policy and all males are neutered before rehoming.  

As a charity, we aim to provide lifelong care and treatment, whilst ensuring that all guinea pigs, in our care, have a life worth living!  Therefore, we have a strict ethos in that what we do is 'to extend good quality life, but never to prolong suffering'.  

We have been in operation for over 10 years now and have helped so many guinea pigs have an amazing life!  We would love to be able to offer sanctuary places to many more, but need to ensure we can continue to pay our huge veterinary bills.
