About us

SCCYP was founded in 1992 and is run by qualified staff and volunteers, we are a voluntary Ofsted registered organisation based in the Belle Vale ward of Liverpool which is an area of high multiple depravations.  We provide a safe secure environment in which to learn and develop through play, for all children year 1 and above all year round.  As well as organising trips and activities that otherwise would be hard for them to reach.  There are approximately 20% of our children with a disability as we try to be as inclusive as we possibly can.  We currently provide 6 children's sessions per week including accredited climbing and swimming lessons as well as 1 adult session per week such as trip, flower arranging, yoga etc.

The whole project costs are provided through the support of many funding organisations and trusts, enabling us to bring everything we do free of charge.  Although our concentration is on the children we also serve our community and have adult groups for those with mental health issues that have been exasperated due to corona virus.  No members of our organisation will go hungry as we provide food during all sessions including trips and provide emergency food parcels to those in need within the local community that are referred to us for support.
