The Aiken Foundation
About us
The Aiken Foundation is a 501(c)(3) public charity nonprofit organization located in Atlanta, Georgia missioned “to support and invest in local minority and marginalized communities through the allocation and development of varied resources.” Each year we host a fundraiser event to help support our mission and programming for the foundation. This annual event is our biggest fundraising effort of the year and this year is our 10th year hosting this event. One of the premier programs of the foundation is “The Aiken Foundation Student Access Fund” where we provide scholarships to minority students pursing job training programs, post-secondary education and high school students interested in entrepreneurship. In the past, we have provided scholarships to Morris Brown College & students at the University of South Carolina College of Social Work. Currently, we have created a new scholarship for high school students interested in entrepreneurship at Clayton County Schools; we similarly are in the process of creating this same scholarship opportunity for Atlanta Public School students and hope to expand to other metro-Atlanta school districts. Additionally, we have sponsored and supported Back-to-School events, local food pantries in Southwest Atlanta, clothing drives, Thanksgiving giveaways and more.
