We are a 100% volunteer-based nonprofit organization dedicated to restoring confidence, independence, and physical well-being for individuals facing mobility challenges, especially wheelchair users.

Our goal is simple: to provide the opportunity for wheelchair users and others with mobility challenges to stand up and actively engage in recreational and everyday life. We accomplish this through a comprehensive approach:

1. Providing Access to Adaptive Equipment: We offer grants to help individuals purchase specialized standing equipment like the VertaCat.

2. Supporting Adaptive Athletes: We provide grants to adaptive athletes to cover entry fees for golf tournaments and competitions.

3. Placing Equipment Nationally: We strategically place the VertaCat at golf courses, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, and Veteran/First Responder support groups to ensure broad community access.

4. Facilitating Adaptive Clinics: We run adaptive golf and activity clinics through our national chapters to teach users how to safely operate the equipment and maximize the benefits of standing.

The core of our mission centers on the VertaCat—a specialized, all-terrain standing sports wheelchair. This crucial piece of adaptive equipment allows our users to be lifted into a standing or semi-standing position, enabling them to:

• Play golf, fish, practice archery and shooting, and participate in countless other outdoor activities.

• Navigate daily life from an upright, eye-level perspective, returning dignity and independence.

The ability to stand provides profound mental and physical therapeutic benefits, including improved circulation and digestion, reduced spasticity, and a major boost to confidence. We are especially proud of our long-standing history of supporting Veterans, First Responders, and children with mobility challenges.
