St. Thomas Swimming Association
About us
The St. Thomas Swimming Association, Inc. (STSA) is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization dedicated to promoting water safety and swimming skills in the US Virgin Islands. Since its founding in 1986, STSA has provided essential programs like Learn to Swim for all ages, swim team training, aquatic therapy, and water safety initiatives. These programs are vital, particularly for island residents, where proximity to water makes swimming not just a skill, but a necessity for survival and safety.Learning to swim saves lives, builds confidence, and promotes a healthy lifestyle. It opens doors to opportunities, as demonstrated by Max Wilson, who began his swimming journey in STSA’s Learn to Swim program and went on to represent the Virgin Islands in the Paris Olympics this summer. His success highlights the importance of supporting local swimming programs that nurture talent and safeguard our community.Your support of STSA helps ensure these programs continue, making swimming accessible to everyone in our community. Whether through donations or spreading the word, you can help STSA provide life-saving skills and foster a love for swimming. Together, we can strengthen our community, nurture future Olympians, and promote water safety for all.
