St. Petersburg is a city of stories—of pioneers and dreamers, of sunshine and resilience. For 103 years, the St. Petersburg Museum of History has safeguarded the memories of those who built this city, and the milestones that shaped it.

Recently we have expanded our mission to expand our resources outside the Museum walls, and we need your help to continue this community-wide historic effort!

For example, the Museum of History has:

• Assisted St. Petersburg, Gibbs and Lakewood High Schools to create their own archives and school history museums.
• Created Florida history lesson plans & curriculum for Pinellas County Schools.
• Collaborated with Neighborhood Associations to collect, organize and present the history of the places and people of the neighborhood.

• Assisted with Roser Park neighborhood to recreate a walking and digital historic tour – a prototype for other St. Pete neighborhoods.

• Assisted City staff in organizing the Coliseum's Centennial Celebration.
• Worked with the Tampa Bay Rays, City, and other agencies to research the history, and provide digital images of the Gas Plant.
• Coordinated the cleanup and protection of Historic Greenwood Cemetery.
• Provided historical research for PSTA, City staff, churches, schools, and other organizations for various city-wide projects.
