About us
Short of a Sheet is a local grassroots organisation working to support community members facing or recovering from houselessness in the greater Hobart region. We provide and distribute FREE emergency relief items and respond to requests from housing workers and members of the community. We support individuals transitioning into housing by reaching out to the community for furniture and homeware items to help make their house into a home. Our actions are based on addressing gaps in current services and with feedback from those with lived experience in the community. We are secular, volunteer-run, and not-for-profit.
