The Scottish Cot Death Trust is the only charity in Scotland dedicated to the issue of Sudden and Unexpected Death in Infancy (SUDI), which is commonly referred to as cot death or SIDS. SUDI claims the life of 1 baby or young child every 9 days in Scotland, and many families will never know why their healthy baby has died. Our aims are to: Provide a wide range of support services to those affected by SUDI Deliver safe sleep education training and resources to help reduce the risks of preventable deaths Fund international research to look for the causes of SUDI and ways to prevent future deaths.
