Safe and Sound Sanctuary provides a permanent home for many senior dogs who were once abandoned or were going to be destroyed because of behavior or medical reasons.

The majority of our current senior dog residents are over 12 yrs of age. This special group of seniors were not adoptable when they were younger because of behavioral and physical ailments. They will safely and happily remain at our sanctuary for their lifetime. The sanctuary dogs enjoy all the aspects of companionship, fun, health, play and interaction that all well-cared-for dogs living in traditional homes enjoy.

Safe and Sound Sanctuary provides all of our animals, both the dogs as well as the stray and feral kitties in our neighborhood, with ongoing medical care and treatment, customized feeding, housing and shelter, grooming and daily socialization and exercise. Perhaps most importantly, we provide a lifetime home with lots of fun and even more love to those dogs that were not adoptable and others turned away!
