Roscrea SPCA was established in 1995 by a small group of volunteers and today, is still managed by a voluntary group who give of their time and energy to ensure the success and smooth running of the Society. Roscrea SPCA became a registered charity in 2018 (RCN 20106911). Roscrea SPCA are grant aided by the Department of Agriculture Food & Marine for which we are grateful, but we also rely on donations from the public to continue the work we do.

Roscrea SPCA are dedicated to promoting animal welfare and providing essential services to our furry friends in need. Our society offer a a range of programmes, including subsidised neutering, subsidised microchipping schemes, as well as Trapping, neutering and returning (TNR) feral cats

In the 30 years since its establishment Roscrea SPCA have neutered a total of 5768 cats and 4578 dogs preventing many unwanted litters of kittens and puppies. Roscrea SPCA have rehomed 983 cats and 678 dogs in the same period.
