About us

Red Bird Ministries was established in 2018 by Ryan and Kelly Breaux. They founded the organization after experiencing a lack of support following the loss of their twins. The Breaux twins were born in 2005 at only 28 weeks due to placental abruption. Their son, Talon Antoine, lived for 15 days and passed away from sepsis. His twin sister died almost 4 years later from H1N1 "Swine Flu." The Breaux's sought the Christian Rite of Burial from the Church but found nothing available in their diocese after the funeral. As a result, they had to navigate their suffering in the secular world. After 7 years of seeking support, trying, giving up, and feeling like they had just survived, Ryan and Kelly participated in a Cursillo weekend, and that's when everything changed for them. They finally found the missing component of their healing journey: sanctifying grace and healing only offered by Jesus Christ. This is when Red Bird Ministries was founded. Red Bird Ministries partners with dioceses, parishes, and experts to provide a comprehensive approach to wholehearted healing that was previously unavailable for families within the Catholic Church. As we have uncovered the needs of the family, we have realized there are many missing pieces that need to be addressed. Some of these areas are suicide loss support, miscarriage support, clergy training and formation, and Spanish translation of all of our materials.Red Bird Ministries is unique as we are able to address the human aspects of grief, but when the family is ready, we have the ability to raise the saint.
