The focus of Peedu's People is to reverse the myth of Rabies by educating people about the disease. We do effective Bite and Rabies Management. The core reason of human-animal conflict is lack of awareness about Rabies and the myth surrounding the disease. This compounded by the poor literacy levels has created a state for the dogs that has resulted in culling healthy dogs in some parts of the country and a general hatred (borne out of fear) for the stray dogs. Peedu's People focusses on effective Bite Management and Rabies prevention protocol that we have expertise in. This includes -Documenting bites/ Education about vaccinations and quarantining animals. -Follow up with ARV shots provided to stray dogs. -Documentation, tagging and micro-chipping on dogs. -Effective surveys on population vaccinated by accurate mapping. There is a massive dearth of charities like us in India and there is an urgent need for it. We need funding to hire more and more counsellors, dog-catchers, buying vaccines, microchips and paying for accurate mapping. We have successfully done this in the city of Chandigarh in North India. We now need to grow and expand it so we can help all the animals we can. We need help with this movement.
