About us
We are a group of three churches in south-east England dedicated to sharing God's love in our community, trying to support people struggling with loneliness, the cost of living, mental health challenges, family life, prejudice and all the complications that 21st century people face. Among our activities is a weekly clothing giveaway and cafe, an intergenerational fortnightly games night, support for neurodivergent people, an art group for anyone who wants to try being creative or just meet other people, two drop-ins aimed at older people, a toddler group, a poetry group, support for LGBTQI+ people, a choir.
We must also maintain the buildings while continuing our work among the community. One of them was built in 1844 and its tower is now crumbling and will need at least £50,000 worth of repairs. We cannot shut the church because it has a small, but dedicated congregation who work hard to care for the church and other people and it has a graveyard with spaces for more burials, and many local people have family buried there. We desperately need funds which will enable us to focus on what we believe God is calling us to do in the area.
