Pacific Pug Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2006.  Our volunteers dedicate themselves to running the organization. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome pugs and pug mixes in need, regardless of age, medical condition, or circumstance.

We’re passionate about caring for each dog we take in; meeting both their short-term needs and setting them up for a happy, healthy future. Before adoption, our dogs live with loving foster families who help them feel safe, cared for, and ready for their forever homes.

Every dog in our care receives full veterinary attention, including spay/neuter services, dental checks, vaccinations, and microchipping. For dogs where their medical or behavior conditions make them difficult to adopt, we commit to caring for them for the rest of their lives through our Furever Foster Program. This program allows us to keep these dogs in loving foster homes while we provide food, supplies, and veterinary care for the rest of their lives.

Beyond rescuing and rehoming pugs, we’re dedicated to educating the community about the breed, its unique personality, common health concerns, and what it takes to care for one. We also work to raise awareness about the importance of reducing pet overpopulation through responsible pet ownership.
