Oxfordshire Badger Group
About us
Oxfordshire Badger Group (OBG) speaks for this iconic native animal. We became a registered charity in 2019 following 30+ years of voluntary work. Our wonderful volunteers work for badger welfare and conservation through:
• field work and sett surveying,
• keeping accurate records of badger activity across Oxfordshire
• vaccinating badgers against bovine TB as a free service to landowners
• badger rescue and rehabilitation
• reporting and investigating wildlife crime
• responding to public and professional queries
• participating in the planning and development process to ensure there is appropriate mitigation for badgers and other wildlife
• promoting the protection, understanding and appreciation of badgers
• education and outreach,
• enabling individuals and communities to protect and nurture wildlife
• campaigning against the badger cull
• ethical standards of behaviour and respect for the law
We are entirely funded by public donation and grants.
