Our House Therapy Collective is a community-based nonprofit providing accessible mental health services to children and families on Chicago’s northwest side. We offer individual, couples, family, and group therapy, and we never turn anyone away based on their ability to pay. As a small organization primarily funded by donations, we rely on general operating support to sustain and grow our work.

Our House Therapy was created out of a belief that mental health care should be more accessible, responsive, and rooted in the communities it serves. We provide services regardless of insurance status or ability to pay. We offer a sliding scale, including pro-bono options, and accept Medicare and most Medicaid-managed care plans. We also address a significant gap in care by offering therapy in Spanish for children, adults, couples, families, and groups.

What makes us unique is not only who we serve, but how. Our model is flexible, recognizing that a client’s needs can shift throughout their time with us. We provide support that can scale up or down without requiring someone to leave the relationships and routines that support their healing.

Our team works closely with community members and partner organizations to shape programming that reflects what people actually need - not just what systems have historically offered. We meet with local community centers, school counselors, and youth program directors to develop working partnerships and to hear first-hand which services are needed. This approach has helped us build trust and create care that feels rooted, not transactional.
