About us
We are a small organisation making a big impact. We work with hundreds of families, helping them get the best support and services they need and connecting them to others with similar conditions, enabling them to lead full lives. We are passionate about improving the quality of life for people living with neuromuscular conditions, whom we call our community. Awareness, attention and funding for Muscular Dystrophy WA is held back by the underlying perception that organisations trying to ‘cure’ disease are more worthy than those addressing the everyday needs of people living with these conditions. We are here to change that perception and to make sure we provide our community with Support for Life.
