Neighborhood Bike Works (NBW) is a Philadelphia nonprofit that empowers youth and adults through bicycles. We provide free programs where young people learn bike repair, safe riding, teamwork, and leadership — and earn a bicycle of their own to keep. For many participants, this bike becomes their primary transportation to school, jobs, and activities.

NBW also serves adults through free community repair nights, affordable classes, and a low-cost bike shop, helping thousands of residents maintain safe, reliable transportation. Our programs improve physical and mental health, reduce barriers caused by poverty, and create pathways to independence and opportunity.
