The Museum is the only admission-free organization in our community which provides year-round educational programs for all ages.  Our activities and exhibits focus on animals' social and working relationships with humans in a maritime context spanning several millennia.  We celebrate these stories through art, living history, science and technology.  For visitors not able to visit us in person, we have a full roster of virtual and off-site programs.

Our organization is all-volunteer and relies on donations to continue our work.  Volunteers are from around the world as well as local.  Our global following reflects our universal appeal and importance in preserving a unique and significant aspect of human history not told elsewhere.
