Mornington Moggie Rescue – Saving Lives, One Cat at a Time

Mornington Moggie Rescue (MMR) is a volunteer-run, non-profit organisation dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming cats and kittens across the Mornington Peninsula, Victoria.

We specialise in caring for the most vulnerable felines, including orphaned neonatal kittens who require round-the-clock bottle feeding, pregnant and nursing mums, and cats in need of urgent medical attention. Many of our rescues come from challenging situations — abandoned, unwanted, or at risk of euthanasia — and we’re here to give them the second chance they deserve.

Our network of passionate foster carers opens their homes and hearts, providing safe, loving environments where cats can heal and thrive until they find their forever families. MMR covers all veterinary care, including desexing, vaccinations, and microchipping, to ensure every cat we rehome is healthy and ready for their next chapter.

We are deeply rooted in our community, running programs like subsidised desexing initiatives, Last Litter programs, and education campaigns to reduce unwanted litters and improve feline welfare. Through adoption events, market stalls, and fundraising activities such as Bunnings BBQs and raffles, we raise the funds needed to continue our lifesaving work.

Every dollar we receive goes directly towards helping cats in need — from specialised formula for tiny kittens to critical surgeries for cats facing life-threatening conditions.
