Monifieth Community Resource Group is a Scottish Charitable Incorporated Organisation who have for nearly twenty years been trying to get a community centre for the town of Monifieth.  For years a community centre has been the number one priority for the town and the dream is about to become reality.

The MAC - Monifieth Activity Centre has a multi purpose hall which can be divided into two smaller spaces, a community gym, a cafe as well as housing the library ran by Angus Alive.

The centre will host a number of activities for the community as well as hiring out the spaces at a reasonable rate to community groups etc.  The centre will also have a changing places facility.  

The centre will be a turning point for the town enabling the community to have a focal point , a meeting space, a place where there will be different community initiatives such as lunch clubs for older people, youth activities as well as allowing people to access exercise facilities on referral through social prescribing etc.

The centre will have a number of volunteering opportunities available which can help with learning or updating skills, sharing knowledge, alleviate social isolation and gain vital experience in a view to accessing employment opportunities.

We would love to get people behind the centre so that it enables us to run a centre for the community for many years to come and to promote community engagement
