About us
Kiran's Trust is all about supporting creative expression and sports in young people. Kiran’s Trust is a family run charity started in memory of Kiran Martin who died aged 18 from a brain tumour. The Trust provides financial support and mentoring to young people pursuing those things that Kiran truly enjoyed – creative expression and sport. Our aim is to provide opportunities where they are limited or non-existent which will nurture talent, develop life skills or provide respite. This support ranges from individual scholarships, school prizes and group activities/workshops in creative expression, including but not limited to art, music, writing and drama. For sport there are taekwondo scholarships and awards, and often our primary school awards go towards physical activities, equipment or programs. Kiran’s Trust works with young people through local schools and recognised youth organisations to ensure both need and talent are equally considered and rewarded.
