Mission Statement

The mission of Misfit Farm & Sanctuary is to provide a safe, compassionate environment where rescued and sanctuary animals and people can find healing, connection, purpose, and a sense of belonging. Through animal rescue and lifelong sanctuary, farm-based therapeutic and wellness experiences, educational programs, volunteer opportunities, and community events, we strive to improve the wellbeing of both animals and people.

We are committed to creating meaningful connections between people, animals, nature, and one another, with particular attention to individuals who may be experiencing stress, grief, isolation, trauma, or other life challenges. Our programs are designed to foster empathy, resilience, emotional wellness, and community connection while providing exceptional care and a permanent safe haven for animals in need.

At Misfit Farm & Sanctuary, we believe that every life has value, everyone deserves compassion, and sometimes those who feel as though they do not quite fit simply need a place where they belong.
