Merchants Quay Ireland provides essential services to marginalised people experiencing homelessness, addiction and mental health challenges. We are a place of welcome for people who have nowhere else to turn.  At our Riverbank Centre on Merchants Quay, we offer hot meals three times a day,  showers, fresh clothes and hygiene products. Our doctor, nurses, mental-health team and dentist offer primary health care and psychiatric interventions. Our crisis support team work with clients daily, assisting them with accommodation referrals, addiction supports, social welfare, court matters, education and employment. Harm-reduction supports include our needle exchange service and our newly-opened medically supervised injection facility. Our young persons programme works with 18-25 year olds, many of whom arrive from State care or come from backgrounds of poverty, drug exposure and trauma. The programme offers targeted interventions, restoring self-belief and developing essential skills to help change the trajectory of their lives.
Jane's Place is our dedicated service for women experiencing homelessness and addiction. Trauma, abuse, sex work and coercive control leave women afraid to access traditional supports. Staffed only by women, Jane's Place provides a range of services including - counselling, GP and sexual health care, addiction supports, group therapy, holistic therapies, casework, hot meals and showers.
MQI offers addiction recovery supports with residential detox and rehabilitation facilities at High Park in Drumcondra and St. Francis Farm in Tullow. Our aftercare programme is available for 6 months after rehab.
