About us
Melanoma is one of the most serious and common cancers in Aotearoa, with over 7,000 diagnoses made and around 300 lives lost each year. Yet, when found early, it is often curable. Melanoma New Zealand is the only charity in the country solely dedicated to the prevention and early detection of melanoma.
We provide free skin cancer spot checks across the motu, educate the public on the dangers of UV exposure, and empower people to recognise suspicious skin changes. Our Nurse Educators travel to rural communities, workplaces, and events, helping thousands each year to understand the risks and take action early.
We rely on grants and donations to keep these vital services going. With more funding, we could expand our reach, deliver more of our mobile service in high-need areas, and develop new tools to save lives through earlier detection.
Your vote can help protect more people in New Zealand from the devastating impact of melanoma. Support Melanoma New Zealand and be part of a future where fewer families are affected by this preventable cancer.
Please vote for us and help us continue this life-saving work.
