Experiencing Marine Sanctuaries (EMS) is a community-led, not-for-profit organisation dedicated to marine education, inclusion, and conservation. Through guided snorkel tours, virtual reality experiences, and school programs, we connect thousands of South Australians each year—children, families, seniors, people with disabilities, and multicultural communities—to the wonders of our marine parks.Our mission is simple: If people experience it, they will protect it.EMS is powered by volunteers and relies on grant funding to continue delivering safe, inclusive, and life-changing programs. With your support, we can:* Train volunteers and snorkel guides* Provide free or low-cost snorkel tours to underrepresented groups* Develop inclusive equipment like floating reef boards and beach wheelchairs* Bring the reef to non-swimmers through virtual reality* Empower young people through education and hands-on marine scienceWe’re helping people fall in love with our local marine life—like the Giant Australian Cuttlefish—and become passionate ocean stewards.
