About us
Melanin Network Victoria is a grassroots, African-led organisation dedicated to empowering African women—especially refugees and asylum seekers—across Victoria. We provide culturally safe mental health support, advocacy, and community-driven programs that address the unique challenges faced by African women, from social isolation and trauma to systemic barriers in accessing services.
Our work is about more than just support; it's about building resilience, restoring dignity, and creating lasting change. Through healing circles, mentorship, and capacity-building workshops, we equip women with the tools to thrive—not just survive. We’re led by lived experience, which ensures our impact is meaningful, relevant, and deeply rooted in community needs.
But we can’t do it alone. Your support helps us expand our reach, strengthen our services, and amplify the voices of African women who are too often overlooked. Whether through funding, partnerships, or volunteering, your contribution is a direct investment in equity, healing, and hope.
Stand with us. Support a movement that centres African women, fosters belonging, and builds futures. Because when African women rise, entire communities thrive.
