Lynchburg Grows transforms lives through urban agriculture. Operating on a 6.8-acre urban farm in Virginia, we've converted abandoned rose gardens into thriving sustainable food production spaces while providing meaningful employment for people with disabilities.We produce over 50,000 servings of veggies annually. Those veggies find their way into the community through our CSA program, FreshRx program, and donations to local non-profits working with underserved families.At the heart of our mission is our Farm Coach program, which provides valuable job skills and employment opportunities to individuals with disabilities. Our five farmers with disabilities work directly with a coach to strengthen their work skills and reach their career goals. Our educational initiatives reach hundreds of students annually through hands-on farming experiences, teaching the next generation about sustainable agriculture, nutrition, and environmental stewardship.
