The best proven way to lift any community out of poverty is to educate girls. Lotus Outreach finds girls in very poor parts of Cambodia and through a carefully monitored sponsorship program ensure they go to school, complete their education and then find meaningful work or vocational training. As well as benefiting the girls and their families, whole communities are influenced by this initiative. We have seen it at work for more than 10 years in the poor areas of rural and urban Phnom Penh district.
