About us

Lluest, meaning ‘haven’ in Welsh, strives to provide a place of 'safety' and 'rescue' to horses and ponies who have been victims of abandonment, cruelty and neglect on our 40 acre farm at the edge of the Black Mountain in the Brecon Beacons.  Founded in 1985 by the remarkable late Ginny Hajdukiewicz, Lluest has rescued over 400 ponies and are proud to be one of only two National Equine Welfare Council member Equine Welfare Charities in Wales and are supported mainly by the generosity of the public via donations, legacies and occasional grant funding.

Our goal is the Rescue, Rehabilitation and Rehoming of Equines throughout South, West and Mid Wales Wales

Rescue is just the beginning for our horses, ponies and donkeys. Our experienced small team tailor our care to each animal, to provide for their individual needs through rehabilitation. Once back at optimum health, our ultimate aim is always to find each pony a loving experienced Guardian home. We believe every horse and pony deserves a second chance to flourish in safety.

Please visit our website www.lluesthorseandponytrust.co.uk for more information and ways to help us achieve our goal.
