Crosskennan is the only educational equine charity in Northern Ireland. We work with all animals - but with a focus on equines. All our animals are rescued, rehabilitated and when possible rehomed. We run training in welfare and care and offer advice where needed to help ensure animals needs are met. All of our animals Have a home for life at the sanctuary and while there they help educate and promote welfare through the Animals Helping People training programmes and promote positive mental health, engagement and help improve people’s lives through the animal assisted therapy program. We are entirely reliant on donations and the generosity of the general public in both monetary and food donations but also their time volunteering with the animals and with fundrasing.
