KNOWLEDGE BUILDERS OF FLORIDA

Knowledge Builders of Florida, Inc. is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering underprivileged children, youth, families, and individuals through high-quality, innovative, and outcome-focused educational programming. Established in 2001, Knowledge Builders works to improve academic achievement, technology skills, and overall well-being in the communities it serves.

At its core, the organization provides afterschool programs, summer enrichment opportunities, and youth development initiatives designed to support students’ academic growth, social-emotional development, and career readiness within safe, culturally responsive, and welcoming environments. Programs such as S.M.A.R.T. Kidz Go Green (K–5), Life, Camera, Action! (middle school video production), and the Bright Idea pre-apprenticeship program (high school) reflect Knowledge Builders’ commitment to blending education, technology, creativity, and real-world experience.

The organization’s mission is grounded in the belief that strengthening individuals leads to stronger families and ultimately stronger communities. Through its comprehensive service offerings, Knowledge Builders helps participants build practical skills, gain confidence, and access pathways that foster long-term personal, academic, and professional success.

In support of its educational and youth development initiatives, Knowledge Builders also recognizes that students learn best when their basic needs are met. To ensure participants can fully engage in programming, the organization addresses food insecurity among the children and families it serves. Through the Summer Food Service Program, Knowledge Builders provides free, nutritious meals to students during the summer months when school is not in session, ensuring continued nourishment while students participate in enrichment and learning activities.

Additionally, Knowledge Builders operates the Child Care Food Program (CCFP AMP) Afterschool Meal Program, offering healthy meals and snacks during afternoon and evening hours. This program supports students enrolled in afterschool services by providing a late supper, helping them remain focused, energized, and healthy throughout extended learning hours.

Together, these educational, developmental, and nutrition programs reflect Knowledge Builders’ holistic approach to youth empowerment by supporting students academically, socially, and physically so they can reach their full potential. The organization maintains a verified EIN and IRS nonprofit status, and tax-deductible donations are accepted to support its programs and community impact.
