Kids Plus Foundation
About us
Kids Plus Foundation (KPF) is a leading not-for-profit, for purpose, community service organisation located in the Barwon region of Victoria. It uniquely provides integrated therapy, research and training to positively change the trajectory of babies, children, adolescents and young adults with neuro physical disabilities - including Cerebral Palsy, stroke and other brain injury - lives by providing them with increased opportunities to thrive at home, school, work and in the community.
The allied health services we provide include:
• Physiotherapy – To assist clients to move well, including learning new movements and making movement easier.
• Occupational Therapy – To help clients develop their independence skills and participate more fully in the things they want and need to do.
• Speech Therapy – The assessment, treatment and management of communication and swallowing.
• Music Therapy: Incorporates a range of expressive, music-making techniques within and through a therapeutic relationship. It is different from music education or entertainment in that it focuses on individual health, functioning and well-being.
• Social Work: To support families in addressing individual or system challenges and barriers to clients achieving their NDIS goals and help families and individuals increase their wellbeing and resilience.
• Support Coordination: To build families’ capacity to implement all supports in their child’s or young person’s NDIS Plan to help them reach their NDIS goals.
People should donate to Kids Plus Foundation to enable the organisation to positively impact the lives of more children, young people and adults with cerebral palsy and similar neurodevelopmental conditions so as to increase their participation and engagement in daily life.
