I AM HESHIMA (Heshima) is a grassroots organization investing in young people by providing academic scholarships to children who otherwise have no access to quality education. It is our belief that the most dedicated person is a young one determined to rise from the ashes of their lives to switch the narrative. The return on investment: Graduates actualize their vision and re-define the status quo, improving the human condition. Our children are/will be the 1st in 3 generations to graduate! We are empowering a generation of children who will break and recreate cycles, let the world know their names and be transformed by their leadership! Although the right to education is universal, access to it is not; This is the reality we are aiming to change and succeeding one child at a time. We currently provide 58 academic scholarships to students across primary, secondary & post secondary levels, the oldest being a medical school graduate, joining 7 post secondary Heshima graduates.
