Rocmaura Foundation helps enhance the quality of life for 150 Residents at Rocmaura Nursing Home in Saint John, New Brunswick by providing some of the extras that government does not fund. We have purchased an 18 passenger wheelchair bus that takes residents on outings, blanket warmers to keep everyone cozy, rehab equipment to prevent falls and pressure sores, and a big screen tv for karaoke and movie nights. We have refurbished our courtyard and added a serenity bench for families. We have a Recreation Activity Fund to provide lots of programs and entertainment from BINGO to music therapy. We are building a second palliative care suite and a new serene visiting room with a water wall and fireplace.  We have just started a new night stand and headboard project which will refurbish every guest room with new built in lockable units to store treatments and care items.  Our mission is to help make life better in our "home away from home".
