Humane Society of Greater Kansas City
About us
The Humane Society of Greater Kansas City provides much needed affordable veterinary care for an under-served population. We provide education and outreach services, a full service/affordable care clinic, and adoptions of dogs and cats. Because of the wonderful work we do in the Greater Kansas City area, over 22,000 pets receive meds/homes/much needed care annually. HSGKC is also the veterinarian of license for KCK Animal Control. Because of our 10 year Ray of Hope volunteer program, and our veterinarians, the euthanasia rate has dropped from 80% (8 of 10 animals never left the building in 2009, to now under 9%.
