2021 continues to be challenging. Although vaccine rollouts, and safety measures seem to put a light at the end of the tunnel for this world-wide pandemic, we remain unable to resume our regular programming and found it necessary to postpone our Spring fundraiser which provides sponsorships for families which need our help the most. We provide year round environmental education activities and summer camp programs to the lower Rio Grande Valley. An area where for than 40% of the population lives below federal poverty. A tremendous need exists, especially for high-risk youth and special needs children in low-income neighborhoods, for programs that provide activities and support for children during the summer and throughout the school year. We are prepared to step up and meet the challenges and needs of our community.
