House Rabbit Society of Western Missouri
About us
Established in 1994, the House Rabbit Society of Western Missouri (MOHRS) is committed to rescuing domesticated house rabbits and educating the public to their proper care. Since our formation, we have rescued over 2500 bunnies in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. MOHRS is an all volunteer, non profit, no kill animal rescue. Not only are we committed to the health and wellbeing of every rabbit we take in, but 100% of the donations we receive go towards our mission of rescue and the care of our rescued rabbits! Our Mission began over 25 years ago, and our goal is to save as many rabbits as we can and adopt them out as INDOOR pet companions. When most people see a rabbit, they think of a cage with a rabbit sitting inside. We want our community to think outside the cage. Domestic rabbits are social and thrive in an indoor environment where they are loved, cared for, and where their minds are stimulated daily.
