Statement of Purpose
HOPE COS provides compassionate, values-driven support through street outreach, peer coaching, sober living, and warming shelters. Rooted in shared understanding, our programs foster healing, growth, and renewed hope. We are committed to creating safe, supportive environments where every person is treated with dignity and given resources to thrive.

Street Outreach
We meet people where they are — on the streets and in camps — offering food, water, clothing, and hygiene supplies. By addressing immediate needs, we build trust and guide individuals toward stability through referrals to recovery programs, housing, and shelters.

Emergency Warming Shelters
Launched in 2022, our shelters serve individuals unable or unwilling to access traditional options. We provide transportation, safe shelter, and connection to case management. In 2022, we served 70 people per event; in 2023, our two sites supported 240 participants across three nights, and in 2024 our shelters supported more than 400 people across three sites on several occasions where the temperatures dropped below 19 degrees.

Peer Support Services
Our Peer Support Specialists, with lived experience, walk alongside individuals facing substance use, homelessness, and recovery challenges. Available 24/7 in our shelters, they build trust, foster dignity, and connect people with recovery, housing, and employment resources.

Recovery Housing
HOPE COS offers safe, sober housing where residents focus on healing and independence. With peer coaching, employment support, and treatment access, participants gain life skills, accountability, and resilience, preparing for stable housing and long-term success.

Community Reentry
We believe in new beginnings. Our reentry work supports people returning to the community after incarceration, guided by peers who have walked the same path. With personalized plans, we help individuals overcome barriers, empowering them toward stability and growth.
