Hoof and Paw, established in 2009, is a volunteer animal welfare organization. Our mission is to aid companion animals in our community that are stray, abandoned or surrendered. In 2023, we tended to 254 animals, up from 156 in 2022. Also crucial to our mission, is our assistance and support for members of our community with the care and wellbeing of their animals. To that end, we hold low-cost vaccination, and spay and neuter clinics, and offer emergency vet support and boarding in times of personal crisis. Funding for Hoof & Paw, comes primarily from income from our thrift store staffed by volunteers, and donations. And in 2023, we have also had the good fortune, in the form of an ambitious volunteer, to apply for, and receive a few small grants. Many of these grants were to assist us in funding spay and neuter clinics and vet services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work together in the betterment of the animal lives and the community’s health. Hoof and Paw is a grassroots organization, we would not exist without our dedicated volunteers and our kind financial supporters.
