OUR SOLUTIONS 

For the past 36 years, HGP has been helping individuals experiencing  

homelessness obtain employment and stable housing through our award 

winning transitional employment program, job training, and support services  

utilizing an organic farm and value-added enterprise. Utilizing evidence 

based practices and modeled on a theory of change that paid short-term  

employment, coupled with educational and support services provides a  

direct route to stability, well-being, housing and employment. 

THE DIFFERENCE WE MAKE 

Homeless Garden Project’s year-long transitional employment program is designed for up to 25 individuals experiencing  homelessness at a given time who are looking to obtain stable employment and stable housing successfully build a path to self-sufficiency and belonging. It includes an innovative social work program in partnership with local universities, employing evidence-based practices within a Positive Psychology framework. Since 2014, 95% of graduates found employment and 88% of graduates obtained housing within 3 months of completing the program. HGP is inclusive and open to individuals experiencing homelessness who are eligible to work in the US. We do not discriminate in our hiring, however participants must be willing and interested in obtaining and maintaining employment and housing to be eligible. In addition to the transitional employment program, HGP impacts many community members by providing free shares of organic, healthy produce and with educational volunteering programs.
