When our friends with Down Syndrome age out of high school, it’s hard to find places of work, education, movement and sociality. Often they end up watching a lot of TV alone. Home of the Homies emerged out of a desire to help create opportunities in all these areas for growth and fulfillment. 

Home of the Homies is a nonprofit that was established with a twofold purpose. One is to help adults with Down Syndrome have a more fulfilling life through programs, events and classes. Another is to teach and provide opportunities for all to learn about and have association with amazing people with an extra chromosome. 

Hip Hop Homies is our signature program dedicated to providing inclusive dance classes for those over 18.  Our goal is to help build strong friendships and provide an exciting way for our friends to keep their bodies moving, learn new skills, and work as a team.
