HelpAWS is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and adopting out abandoned, stray animals on the island of Saint Lucia. Since 2014, HelpAWS has rescued and found loving homes for more than 1500 dogs and cats, in addition to facilitating the spay/neuter of more than 3000 animals. The majority of our adoptive families reside in Canada, specifically in the Greater Toronto Area. 

We are currently in the process of completing the construction of our new animal shelter in Saint Lucia, where overpopulation, illness and abuse of domestic animals has reached epidemic proportions. Our goal for this animal shelter is to make a lasting change on the island. With the animal shelter in place, we aim to make positive change through education while working with local schools and children's programs.
